Business Needs

Air Transat is looking to revisit the status of its website in order to improve the end-to-end client experience from searching for a trip, to making the reservation. The goal is to increase sales and the company’s competitiveness, as well as to attract future clients navigating the web. Air Transat is also looking to simultaneously enable its team to autonomously manage its site.


An in-depth redesign was implemented, and the site was completely reinvented. The user experience was revitalized, and a new reservation tool was added for client use. The optimized Kentico platform allows for the rationalization of site content and the presentation of products offered. The page hierarchy and metadata were particularly taken into consideration.


The new Air Transat website is veritable vacation travel site. The reservation process is handled from A to Z, and the site is available in 32 different countries, 19 different languages.

Moreover, the company offers flights within Canada, as well as connections from five Canadian airports. Each year, the company transports nearly 4.5 million passengers to some 60 destinations in 26 countries. Based in Montreal, the company employs 3,000 people, and operates a fleet of small, regional aircraft made by Boeing, as well as large commercial aircraft made by Airbus.
